With over two decades of experience in the real estate industry, I’ve witnessed firsthand the evolution of property values, market dynamics, and client expectations. One thing has remained strikingly consistent: the cost of selling real estate has not evolved with the times. Real estate fees have remained largely untouched, despite the transformative power of technology that has made our profession more efficient, less complex, and ultimately—less expensive to operate.
At Real Estate 2.0, I’ve co-founded a brokerage grounded in a philosophy of fairness, transparency, and modern value. I believe the role of the real estate professional is still critically important—but I also believe that the compensation model must reflect today's realities. Our job as agents is not to take more than our fair share of a client's equity. Instead, it's to deliver experienced representation, informed guidance, and peace of mind—at a reasonable and transparent cost.
Over the past twenty years, I’ve facilitated transactions across residential real estate, farmland, and commercial properties. My role has remained the same: I am the middleman—the one responsible for ensuring that deals are conducted ethically, efficiently, and clearly. My experience serving on both local and provincial real estate boards has reinforced my commitment to professionalism and my belief that agency matters.
Going forward, I’ve made a decisive shift in how I practice real estate. I now represent only one party per transaction—never both. Whether I’m acting for a seller or a buyer, I stand firmly on the principle that true transparency and loyalty can only exist when you represent one master at a time.
